So I got my 1st offer from the insurance claim made because of injuries I suffered in an auto accident in November of 2010. They seriously low balled me, which is to be expected…but what i didn’t expect was that part of their reasoning is that…they think 6 months of chiropractic care is excessive so they only want to pay for 10 weeks worth. Cuz I should have just been magically healed in 10 weeks. We had to make a choice by March 1st and considering the service and corespondence we received from each company during our time of consideration, Progressive was the hands down winner. It took State Farm almost three weeks to get a quote for us and every time we got ANY info from them, it was because we made the call. Someone recently hit my car while it was parked across the street from my house. I almost thought it was a hit and run till I found their business card on my windsheild. So it’s been another day since that, still waiting, she did call again and say she’s running it by her insurance agent to see which way would be better for her, insurance or pay me off. So I am still waiting, it’s only been a few days since the accident but I am getting anxious because I kind of wish she would just give me her insurance info and go through it, my car would probably be in the shop already and this would be taken care of. But instead I ‘m waiting for her. She still has not given me her insurance info, I don’t have her license plate # or even what her car looks like, just a business card. When i release the foot brake, give gas and the car starting to go back without vibration, but when i must to go slow with little press the brake,there is a vibration. When you put the car in drive or in park theres no vibration at all, just when you put it in reverse. We are looking at a new house that must have had somebody disabled living in it before – because it has a home elevator installed. I was stopped at a red light behind two cars. Both cars started to go and so did I the next thing I knew I had hit the car in front of me. The car in front of me hit the car in front of him. She said that they had received the last payment much later than it was due (not sure how because it was mailed the same time as always) but because of that our insurance had been cancelled. We are going to keep fighting them because I dont think its fair. Even if they decide that they wont pay we can afford to just pay for the damages to the rear end of the car in front of us, because know matter what happened I am at fault for following to close. We cant afford to pay out of our pocket also for his front end and the rear end of the first car. Shouldnt those damages be covered by the car I hit because he was obviously following to close to the car in front of him?
